Axiomtek, one of the world's leading designers and manufacturers of innovative, high performance and reliable PC-based industrial computer products, has launched CEM501, its first COM Express Compact Type 6 module based on the latest 14nm 6th generation Intel® Core™ i7/i5/i3 processors (codename: Skylake) with support for up to 32 GB dual-channel DDR4 SO-DIMM memory. Featuring improved processing and graphics performance compared to the previous generation Intel® processor, the compact-size system on module CEM501 offers intense graphics performance and multitasking capabilities, making it ideal for telecommunication, medical imaging, digital signage, gaming machines, military, and IoT related applications.

The Axiomtek powerful CEM501 features Intel® Gen 9 HD Graphics integrated in the CPU and provides LVDS, VGA (optional) and two DDI ports supporting HDMI/DVI/DisplayPort, enabling it to drive multiple HD 4K displays without the need for a discrete graphics card. Optionally an embedded DisplayPort (eDP) is also available. The small form factor type 6 computer-on-module embedded board CEM501 also provides high-bandwidth I/O, including six PCIe x1, three SATA-600 interfaces, one Gigabit LAN port, four USB 3.0 ports, eight USB 2.0 ports, and 4-IN/OUT DIO for peripheral devices and data transfer. The LPC bus is available for easy connection of legacy I/O interfaces. For evaluation and development purposes, Axiomtek also provides CEB94006, the carrier board to operate with CEM501 for supporting rich I/O and expansions interfaces. To ensure reliability and stability, hardware monitoring and Watchdog Timer are supported. This powerful COM Express Compact size Type 6 embedded board runs under Windows® 7/8.1/10 and Linux operating system.
