The advanced computer-on-modules CEM881 provides advanced processing and high graphics performance combined with cool and efficient operation. With one onboard 4 GB extended temperature DDR3L chip, and one 204-pin SO-DIMM DDR3L socket supporting up to 8 GB, the extremely small SoC module boosts its fabulous computing performance, industrial-grade wide temperature, and seismic design. The rugged and powerful CEM881 is an ideal solution for graphics-intensive and rich I/O applications such as telecommunication, medical imaging, transportation, Internet of Things-related, automated optical inspection (AOI), digital signage, gaming machines, military, and networking.
“In conjunction with Axiomtek’s baseboard CEB94006 or user-supplied carrier board, the advanced module supports maximum up to 4 lanes of PCIe to provide rich I/O options. Furthermore, integrated with new Intel® HD 6000 Graphics, the CEM881 correspondingly increases its display ability, offering 3D clear video HD, triple view, quick sync video, wireless, and ultra HD 4K display. Comprehensive graphics outputs include LVDS and two DDI ports supporting HDMI, DVI and DisplayPort. The high-performance System-on-module (SoM) is aimed to accommodate the growing trend of prompt and high definition display needs,” said Yifei Wang, product manager of the Product Planning Division at Axiomtek.
Following the latest PICMG Rev 2.1 specification, the Axiomtek COM Express® pin-out type 6 module, CEM881, is designed for serial signaling protocols, including four PCIe x1, four SATA-600 with Intel® Smart Response Technology, one Gigabyte Ethernet supporting Wake-on-LAN, HD audio, one LPC interface, one SPI interface, four channels in and four channels out Digital I/O, six USB 2.0 ports, and two USB 3.0 ports. Furthermore, hardware monitors, TPM and Watchdog Timer are supported as well.
